Dr. Freeman (Doctor of Ministry) is an accomplished educator, entrepreneur, and content writer who has contributed to numerous publications—both mainstream and academic. She has been featured in Forbes, The Huff Post, Essence, The Wall Street Journal, Oxford University Press, and many others. She is also a public relations and writing consultant who has helped nationally-recognized and best-selling authors and several other high-profile clients. For over 30 years, Dr. Freeman has been a prolific and pioneering educator. She founded her own liberal arts university, North Carolina University, in 2017. She re-established a defunct HBCU (Historically Black College/University) in Tarboro, North Carolina.
Dr. Freeman is the President of Degree Programs at Kittrell (North Carolina) College and Seminary. She is the President and Founder of The Collegiate Collaborative, A System of Schools, and Founder and CEO of Stephanie Freeman Enterprises, a public relations and multi-media firm.
