“You have kept count of my wanderings; put my tears in your bottle. Are they not in your book?” (Psalm 56:8)
You’ve probably heard how God keeps track of every hair on our head. But did you realize that God, too, keeps track of our tears? God, as it were, collects every tear that streams down our cheeks and puts it in His bottle — He sees, and He remembers.
I think about King Hezekiah. He was desperately sick. He cried out to God, and he wept bitterly. And we are told that God not only heard his prayer, but God also said, “I’ve seen your tears”. He heard and he saw.
It’s the same with all of us. If you’re going through a rough patch in life, as I have, as we all have, in those hardest moments when you’re shedding tears, know that God sees your tears. He collects them in the bottle of His remembrance.
He hears your prayers, He sees your tears, and He will have compassion for you. As a father has compassion on his children, how much more so will God the Father have compassion on those who fear Him!
He will be with you in the darkness. He will hear your cries. He will see and collect your tears, and He will have compassion on you, because He’s a good and a gracious God to us in His Son Jesus Christ.

The Bible tells us that we "all have sinned and fallen short of the God's glory" (Romans 3:23). The good news is: that's not the end of the story. God's only son, Jesus, was sent to our world to die for our sins (Romans 5:8; 1 Peter 2:24). All we have to do is believe in Him and we will have eternal life (John 3:16). If you want to know more about about Jesus and how He can change your life, let us know how we can encourage and pray for you.
